Scholarships

North Country Goes Green Irish Festival is pleased to announce the annual Academic and Vocational Scholarship program. Academic Scholarships in the amount of $2,000 are awarded to high school and current college students in Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence Counties. Separate $2,000 scholarships are awarded to seniors enrolled in a Vocational-Technical program.

Scholarships are administered in partnership with the Northern New York Community Foundation. Account creation is required. Select the appropriate Scholarship as described below when applying.

Covering Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence Counties

WHAT: $2,000 scholarship(s) will be awarded by the North Country Goes Green Irish Festival for students residing in Jefferson, Lewis or St. Lawrence counties who plan on attending an accredited college in the fall. These are one time awards for the upcoming academic year.

SCHOLARSHIP BEING OFFERED FOR STUDENTS ENTERING IN A FIELD OF EDUCATION: In honor of William K. Archer, at least one scholarship will be offered to a student who is planning on becoming an educator.

WHO: Any high school senior pursuing a college degree or currently enrolled in a college degree program.

REQUIREMENTS: You must be a high school senior or currently enrolled at a college. You must also be accepted into a college degree accredited program starting the fall of the upcoming academic year .

An application form and essay are to be completed online. A letter of recommendation, high school transcript, and student appraisal must be uploaded and included with your application.

An award of 50% will be made by the start of the fall semester and the remaining 50% will be awarded after completion of that semester. If the winner fails to enroll in college, the alternate will be awarded the scholarship.

REQUIREMENTS: You must be a high school senior or currently enrolled in a technical program. You must be accepted into an advanced technical program starting the fall of the upcoming academic year.
